we are headed on a little vaycay next month {first family vacation with the three of us}...and we can't wait!! we'll be leaving ONE week before finding out if we get hired so we thought a little get-away would be much needed. {we'll be a tad bit stressed out}
we've always wanted to go to san francisco {danny went when he was a little boy, and i've never been} so if any of you have any recommendations as to what we HAVE to do, we'd gladly appreciate it!
woohoo! sounds like a LOT of fun. you guys deserve it!!!
ReplyDeletecrystal can probably get you a discount at the marriott if you are looking for a place to stay!
I LOVE San Francisco!! One of my favorite places is actually Alcatraz. It's REALLY cool. But if you want to go there, you need to get online and buy your tickets in advance.
ReplyDeleteYou can also spend forever walking around at the Embarcadero--shops and fun places to eat, and if the weather is fine, it's a great place. There are seals that live there and you can sit and watch them play--some of them just lay there, but some of them swim around and climb up on their little pallets and try to push the others off. I could sit there for hours (Unless it's windy, and then you get chilly pretty quick!)
I hope you have a GREAT TIME!!!
Oh, and don't forget Lombard Street. And I like Coit Tower, too. I'd skip the street cars, but that's just me. They're usually pretty crowded, and every time I've been on one, somebody sitting near me was smoking pot. I don't know, maybe that's just my bad luck!!
ReplyDeleteXOXO!!
I'm going in two weeks!! So I'll let you know!
ReplyDeleteGhirradelli Square!!! Yummo chocolate! And if you like sea food, pier 39 and fisherman's wharf is a must! I am SO SO SO SO jealous! We always used to go to San Fran when my sister lived there!
ReplyDeletehaha p.s. I totally spelled Ghiradelli wrong... oh well :)
ReplyDeleteI've got nothing to offer, since I've never been there, but after eating at Pier 49 pizza the other day Josh and I are determined to go. :)
ReplyDeleteMy advise is that it is colder then you think. It is NOT Southern Cal. Plan on bringing pants and a jacket.
