happy happy birthday!

april is a BIG month for us...and it's about to get even crazier!

both danny and i celebrate our birthday's during this month, and danny's was just this past sunday. i wanted to do something cheap, but sweet, for him so when i stumbled upon

homemade by jill's blog, i knew what i was going to do.

...too bad i didn't start my secret little project earlier, because i gave super short notice to everyone...but THANK YOU to those who were able to send pictures! my little birthday wall turned out great:

danny had no idea what i was up to, so it was fun to see his surprise sunday morning when i finally let him go out into the dining room :)

we made a delicious breakfast of puffed french toast, {sooo delicious, but sooo bad for you!} hashbrowns, strawberries, and orange juice. then we opened gifts and went to church.

that night, danny's parents came down to celebrate with us + brought a delicious meal with them. his mom made yummy personal lava cakes {yes, i am trying to do everything possible to fatten up our little baby!} ...little did danny know, the candle he chose for himself was a self-lighting candle. :)

all in all, it was a great, relaxing day! thanks again to all those who sent pictures!
