capitol reef!

the idea of camping with two children under the age of two was a little bit intimidating...but i think it's safe to say that we would do it again in a heartbeat! we had such a blast.
here is a breakdown of our trip by numbers:

21 happy campers!
{-codi + grandma, aunt cindy and uncle neil!}

1 twisted knee
1 bat circling the bathrooms non-stop!
1 almost flood in the trailer
1 nap a day per person
2 hikes
2 grandkids in diapers

3 frisbee golf tournaments
3 yummy meals a day
3 dogs

3 baths in the trailer before bedtime
4 trailers

4 tents
6 friendship bracelets made

7 games of "pinkalicious!"
12 times sunscreen was applied
13 fresh apricots consumed by me
19 marshmallows roasted
26 rounds of scum + screwy lewy
34 rides in the bike trailer
89 bubbles popped by max + reed
danny looks more than enthused to be blowing bubbles :)

92 times max called howie "yar"
100 otter pops consumed
237 bugs swatted at constantly

memories made: priceless

thanks for the wonderful trip mom and dad!!
we couldn't have done it without you!!

  1. What a fun time camping! Even with two kids under two! You are superwoman Jessie.

  2. Steve and I keep saying we want to go camping... but just don't know how its done! We've never gone before, and two kids sounds so intimidating.
You totally inspire me to go do it. It looks like you guys had a blast!

ps. I got our matching shoes from Soel Boutique in the riverwoods. They are just saltwater sandals. You can even buy them online! They have a zillion different colors. I wish I had every single color... they are all so cute.
