it is 1:06 a.m. and i am still awake. awesome, huh?? avery will be up to eat any minute, so instead of trying to get a little sleep, i thought i'd try to catch up on the 'ole blog.
last week we decided to remodel our kitchen. it is totally consuming our lives, but i am so SO excited about the progress we are making!! if everything goes as planned, we will be done this saturday so next week pictures are sure to come.
until then, i have to tell you about my bff's bff, julia marcum. {thanks for having awesome friends, meagan!!} she is incredibly talented + creative + just seems like an over-all rad person. anyways...
i've been having some decorating dilemma's with my living/dining area and i sent her an email to see if she had any suggestions. she did an entire post over on her blog...and i was completely blown away by all of her great suggestions.
once the kitchen is taken care of, we can start in on the living room!!! i can't wait.
oh, and i'd love to hear what you think about her suggestions. do you have any suggestions of your own?? do tell.
lastly, isn't she a doll??? we are in love.
Oooh, I can't wait to see what you've done to your kitchen!!
ReplyDeletehow fun. Love all that girls advice and what interesting inspiration for a color scheme. I like her layout with dividing the rooms. As for the colors- you have to choose what you are comfortable with. sometimes less is more so don't feel like you have to repaint unless you really want to. I would suggest a long skinny table behind your couch for your entry way greeting that you could decorate with something cute but still keep out of reach of the little people. And we have spray painted a lot of furniture/ frames etc. to get them to all match or to update them. Totally works. I would suggest garage sales-( we got an awesome table once) or even d.i. As for your couches I have a friend that sewed an awesome couch cover for hers and I know you got some mad sewings skills and I'm sure there are probably some d.i.y. online until you find the time/money for the perfect furniture. I think everything you've done looks awesome and things and ideas will just keep coming together- you have such a creative/ design mind that you'll figure it out. Can't wait to see what you have done with the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the finished product! How exciting for you guys. And your little Avery is the cutest!
