The 4th in Provo is unbeatable.
(Ok, the only other 4th I didn't spend in Provo was the summer I lived in Powell, but that was enough for me. Provo is where it's at!)
Last year, we woke the kids up early to see the hot air balloons, only to find out that they were cancelled due to weather conditions. The kids were devastated and have been talking about it ALL YEAR. Seriously. So, of course we had to take them to the balloons. It was rough waking up so early (especially since Danny & I had to get ourselves ready for family pictures that morning!) and we missed a lot of them filling up, but the kids didn't seem to mind one bit. They were mesmerized & loved it. So happy to have this tradition to look forward to every year!
// That right there is pure joy! //
// Oh beautiful for spacious skies!! //
Since we didn't have time to eat breakfast before we left, we decided it would be the perfect time to check out the new Shirley's bakery. It was darling inside & you can never go wrong with a treat from Shirley's!
Such a great start to a wonderful day!!
