lately.

where has the month of february gone???
seriously.  time is flyying.

we been enjoying this month of love like crazy.
lately:

+ avery is jabbering more and more and it's the cutest thing ever!  i dressed her up in a little tutu and she went to town taking all of the clothes out of her drawer :)



+ max is also jabbering more and more...but on a slightly more advanced level.  he is such a goof ball.  watch the video and see for yourself.

+ we saw "the vow" (along with every other couple!)  loved it!
(after seeing the vow, we decided we needed to document our lives a little better!)

+ we hung this wax paper chandelier in the kid's room!  what do ya think??

(i made it for our room...however, we have to take down an ugly light fixture and re-wire first, so the kids get to enjoy it for now!  after hanging downstairs in our "laundry room" for the last few months, i decided it was time to make an appearance on the main floor.  i think i may need to add an additional row, because it looks a little imbalanced, but whatev.)

+ i've been getting ready for my girl's trip to TEXAS!!!!!!! woot woot.  can't wait to party for (almost) a week with my bff's brittany + jenny!!!

+ oh, and last but definitely not least...

i need to do a shout out to my amazing husband!

he got accepted into the RELIGIOUS EDUCATION Master's Program at BYU.

i couldn't be happier for him.  we definitely didn't think that he would get in, but once again, God really does hear and answer prayers!  he starts this june.  it's going to be a crazy ride, but we couldn't be more excited!

+ these two are quite the pair.  they love each other (most of the time) so much and it melts my heart when i hear them giggling in their room in the mornings.  (we've made the switch...max is in a toddler bed now!! woohoo!  he loves his big boy bed and we love having avery out of our room ;)

+ we celebrated cinco de mayo a little early this year...

our kids have a thing with accessorizing.

+ one of ave's favorite hobbies is crawling into the "pantry" and pulling out all of the ziplock bags as fast as she can before i realize what she's doing.  one of max's favorite hobbies is seeing how high he can stack all of the cans.  together they are quite the team!

+ we made some sugar cookies with a yummy glaze from our best bites!

+ chilly, but sunny winter walks have saved us this winter!  

having a shiny red sports car has only enhanced our outings :)

+ the kids love it when daddy comes home!

and avery loves practicing to stand!

+ our baby is 10 months old today!!! craziness.

she is a busy girl and is such a sweetheart.

danny and i have met so many wonderful people through teaching seminary.

the hedlund's are no exception.

dan hedlund was recently featured on lds.org (his picture is on the main page)

and also won the world-wide "in search of incredible" contest by jason mraz.

he found out he had cancer just three weeks after getting married, and four years later he is now in remission.  he really is such an incredible guy and we feel so blessed to know him.  every time we see them, i am amazed at their upbeat, positive outlook on life.

i just found these photos tucked away among all the hundreds of other pictures on our computer, and thought i'd share them with you.  these were taken on a day back in december, shortly after danny returned home from work.  we built the biggest fort this house has ever seen.

and the kids loved it.

 

 it's the little things like this, that make my "job" so worth it!
