sunday in houston

waking up to a hot breakfast is exactly what happened to me sunday morning.  jenny (#awesomehostessalert!)  took care (and spoiled us!) the whole time.  after breakfast we got ready for church where we got to attend jenny + kyle's primary class :)  what cute kids!

jenny made awesome pesto chicken sandwiches for dinner (does it seem like this trip revolved around food??  pretty sure it did!) and their friend miranda and her son max came over to join us.  he was such a little cutie and may or may not have made me miss my own little kiddo's a whole bunch.

we took a lovely evening stroll around the park...

...and then came home and made the most delicious brownies EVER.
not sure what we did to them, but they made us a little crazy :)

we played skip-bo (which i destroyed them in!) and then talked and laughed into the wee hours of the night...

and then, just like that, we were faced with the last full day of the trip :(
stay tuned...

  1. Dear j.love,
I am quite enjoying your recap of the amazing trip however for journaling purposes I feel this day account needs a slight editing to make it accurate....
You did not destroy at skip Bo, you cheated at it :)
    That is all!
    Love you

  4. Not only does your trip look like a dream come true, I love how you had a resident photographer to capture so many fun shots of all of your adventures. And you are making me SOOO hungry talking about all the yummy food. Table side guacamole? Really? New addition to my Celestial Kingdom requirements list, right under Cold Stone. And I must say I'm a little irked at your friend's husband. Who runs their first marathon that fast? Rude! Ok, it's exciting. And it sounds like we need to have a skip bo tournament soon...
